@Poison

You, dual channel would be fine, anything upto 3 gig. its got 4 ram slots, but theres something about if you put 4 gig in itll only see 3. So upto 2 gig dual channel with 4x512meg or 2x1gig is ok. I tkae it if you bought my board youd want the sli bridge connector thing?

Whoah, thats DDR2 youve ordered there, the board doesnt take it!

Really you want 2Gb, you should be able to buy 2x 1GB sticks for around £100 at PC3200 (400Mhz) spec. Thats as fast as you need, branded or generic.

Crap. Whats the difference? I mean; should I be looking for a board that supports DDR2 really?

Budget is already blown so its 1gig now and another gig further down the line.

I havent actually seen many good boards that use DDR2, everything still seems to be just DDR

They arnt even backwards compatible Chris. One is 240 pin and the other is 184 pin. DDR2 isnt that much faster and its notably more expensive.

PC3200 400Mhz DDR is all you need, try and get 2Gb, even if its generic.
