Title: Wiimote hack on the PC
Post by: addictweb on December 18, 2006, 22:23:16 PM
Since the Wiimote uses standard blue tooth it wasnt too much to expect it to be hacked for the PC!

So much potential!

It doesnt use just bluetooth, dont forget it also uses IR for its 2D positioning, ie the cursor on the main Wii interface.

Easy enough to sort that out with a few IR leds a battery and resistor.

AFAIK it will still work without it.

The new version of the hack apparently uses the IR function as well, as it says in the article, the new hack allows you to control the mouse pointer in windows (requiring the absolute position given by the IR).

interesting idea, could be very cool if you were a geeky lecturer and wanted to use a wiimote for a presentation
