Well, isnt multi-player hard!!!

If I understand it right, the high level players like 50, 60, 70 etc all have better weapons, and bits and bobs. So it doesnt seem quite fair to play a n00b against a high level player really does it?

Seems the best way to level up is playing Domination? Thats been my most enjoyable games up to now.

Is there any guides on what class to make at certain levels to get the best out of the game play?

There seems some very good players out there, as when I die (often) and watch the kill cam, it seems impossible for the to know that Im there or walking past, but they manage to get me.

Also, are some levels real hard to spot anyone wandering about? One game I played, I just couldnt see anyone due to the colours etc.

Definitely makes a difference how much you play and therefore level up to get access to better weapons.

Im up to lvl40ish now having started from not playing any real multiplayer shoot-ems since UT against folks on here occasionally years ago, always preferred the single-player campaign and dont have the patience for realsims like operation flashpoint/battlefield etc.

Stick at it, You can pick up anyones weapons and then it becomes worth it.
There are certain combos for certain maps that work too.
The rooftop map for example I have two play styles depending on what the players are like. It is a lot like football where you should note the play of the game and change if need be. You probably have been knifed a lot in that map for example which is one of the play styles that works well if your good.

I have not played for a bit as I am going through prestige mode.

There doesnt appear to be any consistency in the game what-so-ever. Even now I can go from being around 30 - 1 or 2 to being 5 - 15 on the next map.

Same, you can kick ass one minute and then be sh*te the next.

With that though there is a few things....

- Your class set up depending on the map is so important and for that to match your play style. Get that wrong and you die a lot more.
- Killstreak!!!! Get that AC130 and do some damage and your set for the game and you corner the other team to a point if your team is not totally crap you can just pick them off from where they have all formed. Even when they spawn in new locations they rush to not be alone as they just got their as shot dead over and over.
- There is only so long you can play at a good level, you get tired during a stint and should stop. You start average, hit your zone and then start to fade off and get worse and not able to pick it up again. You should stop right there.

Guess I have to practise a lot then!!!

I find it hard seeing other people a lot on some maps. Although I dont know any of the maps yet, so that could be why. I can remember playing Counter Strike, and finding that quite easy, but this isnt!

Recently gone back to this game on the 360 as the PC version I have now hangs at the menu screen ever since the last steam update.

Its a nightmare getting used to a controller again for FPS games. I do alright, middle of the table etc but nothing exceptional.

Would be playing Bad Company 2 on the PC if EA would get the multiplayer/online sorted.

Still not played it as I felt it wasn’t worth paying full price, just for the short single player mode. Also after getting used to 50+ slot and dedicated servers in COD4, the sound of 18 slot servers and the IWNET matchmaking facility does not make we want to try it. So if I ever get MW2 it will be for single player and only when it is at a bargain price.

Instead I’ve been getting back into COD4, which is still 2nd in the Xfire top 10, MW2 being 4th.

It is action packed with the map designs though. Your never bored and not doing anything and hang about for to long and your dead. Lots of people thought it would be crap and not bothered but the ones that actually have tried it have found they liked it when they got into it.

Battlefield for me is always been the one to get if you want large numbers in a game online with the tanks and helicopters etc.
