I got a new account. I had to make a new one so I can use my card and pay NZ dollars etc for a subscription. You can not change your country on any account so you guys know.
If you move country you can not change to credit card of that country (as it is not the same as the registered country) and you can not change your country location of your profile account.
Only option is new profile and new account. You can not even transfer any points etc. If you got a long term profile - your fcked. lucky I do not really have one.
That sucks. I hated the fact that I had issues with transferring my original xbox profile across because the card used had expired and I dont know the last 4 digits etc.
Another thing to watch out for with live is that if you think youre not going to use live anymore and you get a renewal notice, but you card has expired so you want to just leave it, dont, cancel it properly. What happens when/if you decide to resubscribe to live at a later date is you get billed twice, for the full amount.
This isnt a bug in their system, they do it deliberately even though I think its technically an usary, given the fact they are essentially charging for something you couldnt possibly use (as they disconnect you from the service when they cant take payment). It took several emails and calls to M$, who basically said that one payment was taken due to not being able to take it before, and it was non-refundable, and the other payment was the one which I paid to resubscribe, and they couldnt do anything about it. I then contacted my bank (Barclays) told them the story, they said its not on, and a few days later I had 1 of the payments refunded to my account!
