Title: £8 billion for breast growth side effect?
Post by: Serious on October 09, 2019, 20:17:11 PM
Count me in on that one! Anyone else fancy some?  :w00t:  :ptu: :ptu:

Then American courts are getting rather ridiculous on punitive damages.

Some of the drugs at this end of the spectrum are vile and not even proven to work or not introduce worse side-effects. I'm no anti-vaxxer or anything daft but Big Pharma has definitely not been held accountable enough for what they are peddling for far too long. Obviously it's worse in the States.

There is a huge list of approved drugs that have turned out to be completely ineffective, including anti-cancer drugs.

Even paracetamol has been removed from the list in many conditions including chronic back pain and other chronic pain where it just does not work. I can confirm this having polyosteoarthritis and fibromyalgia.

It's really remarkable when you are blotto near out of existence on strong opiates and you realize you can still feel the pain.

Opiates doesn't really take the pain away but makes easier to not be bothered by it so in a combination with other pain reliever it can be effective.

The latest medical opinion is that there are multiple pain pathways, not just one set of nerves. For the majority of patients opiates do "take the pain away", for others, such as fibromyalgia, it does not block it at all.

Without opiates, paracetamol and Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs I don't have a lot left to try.

The anti-Inflammatory drugs do work, but by the time they are strong enough to be effective they also start affecting my kidneys. So I can have pain relief - providing that I don't mind going on dialysis permanently in about 6 months.
