Anyone heard from him at all? Seems daft to boycott the forums because of a stupid argument in SC (although to be fair its one of the reasons I stay out of there!)

Maxi if your still reading anonymously come back! Dont take arguments so personally or perhaps just stay out of SC but dont leave the entire forum.

Someone made a vaguely coherent counter-arguement to his rhetoric, and he appears to have skuttled off with with his tail between his legs for some unknown reason.

Well mixed emotions over Maxi then. I know he could be a bit in your face and opinionated and I admit I rarely agreed with anything he had to say. However half the point in being part of forums such as these (for me anyway) is to see how different people (especially different cultures) think and how world issues affect them differently to me.

Personally whilst I do have my own views on Iraq, I couldnt honestly say I care enough to fall out with other people about it. I dont mean to make it trivial or anything, but honestly there are things going on that have a much greater impact in my personal life so it really isnt my major topic of conversation. For Maxi though it was a huge huge issue and whilst I dont agree with his views it was interesting to see how important it was to him.

I am not mr perfect but he increasing had a go at me and others for no reason, he kept laying into your post but not really constructive and then on the Iraq thread while fully able to state an opinion and it was cool again offending people not the topic.
A couple of other guys have started up on a few people again for no real reason as well at the moment.
No need for it, disagree with peoples views etc but stay away from being nasty to someone, no point to it.

lol - its all yours. Hate to think anyone would leave over a difference of opinion.  The whole point of SC is to discuss stuff.  Admittedly towards the end Max wasnt so much discussing as shouting but you always need someone like that in a conversation.  It takes the attention away from the fact they usually have a point.

This is why I stay away from SC.
