Boris lied again and again.
on: December 12, 2021, 19:23:02 PM
And again.... You get the drift.

Said he knew nothing about any party in Downing Street, condemnded his press secratary who was asked about it in an exercise and laughed nervously. She resigned.

Then it turned out Boris had to know, he was in the building and hosted a quiz. Photo evidence was provided through the Daily Mirror, and backed by an interview with Kier Starmer.

And the Met police are refusing to prosecute because there is a Dick heading the organisation. She does have an unfortunate name.

Tory MP Chris Green refused to back Johnson in an interview, Steve Baker was very concerned and the Education Secretary suggested that it wasn't a party because there was no alcohol.

WTF is this country coming to?

Coming to? It's been a shower of sh*t for decades  It's the illusion that anything will be different under any other party that I'm surprised still catches people out.

100%

To add to this I'm also once again fascinated by the optics from this "scandal" More of the UK public is finally willing to accept they've had their pants pulled down and they've been made mugs of, a good start I suppose, but rather than thinking "Well, if things were as bad as all the fear and messaging they parroted to us back then why would they be all meeting up for Christmas?"

Most seem to have gone for simple blind outrage that they "didn't follow rules" Without any further thought or period of reflection as to why, and now support another round of the very same liberty stealing policies.

The reason IMO is just cope, people would seemingly rather believe the rules politicians parroted but subsequently ignored themselves were "real" And that it was the "right thing" To follow them, rather than also admit to themselves they followed a load of junk science/politics, if you take the time to look back, most of which aged like milk in the sun anyway.

Edit- a more eloquent take here,

You guys need to stop worrying about red vs blue, if labour gets in you will experience the same, likely worse as they want to continuously lock down the country, all of them are puppets of someone higher up.

That is the lie people on here believe. Bacon is brainwashed by the Tories. Up until the American Banks collapsed in 2008 we were doing extremely well.

Then the recovery started and in 2010 the Tories were put in. Instant disaster and the economy tanked.

Reality is, and it's recorded in government documents, Labour has always done better for business than the Tories. UK economy now tanking, EU booming.

Bacon holds no political allegiance, that's pretty obvious just from a cursory glance at his posts. Whereas your reply is spoken like a true partisan.

Your analysis? He actually backs a lot of Tory principles. And do not forget we are all biased, that includes you. So when you see something that backs what you think and it's well balanced.

I am not anti-Tory as such, just anti corruption, and there is plenty of that in the present Conservative government. Government legislation should be fair, not one law for the rich and another for everyone else.

Having conservative (small c) values doesn't make you a Conservative party supporter; it's possible to hold certain values and beliefs and still distance yourself from politics and allegiances.

I am anti-the-feckin'-lot-of-them. They're all scumbags. I don't believe any of the policies, promises or hollow soundbites, I don't follow any of them and I don't watch the news/read social media for updates, I actively avoid politics as much as possible. I wouldn't trust a single MoP to run a bath and either manage it successfully or to try and claim sort of benefit from it or it sell a lucrative contract out to mateys to fill the bath at exhorbitant cost.

As such I agree wholly with your principle:

But I don't believe for one second that it starts and ends with the Conservative govt.

Its very easy to bash the tories thinking its all one sided but like i said before they are two sides of the same coin, you need too look past it
