Job
on: December 27, 2006, 20:30:24 PM
After deciding to stay in my job I have got another decision to make.

Baiscally, our office is getting more work. This involves our office getting a whole new section from another office.

So On this new section, they will be needing new people to work, they have advertised these positions and I could put my name forward.

Considering I am an Agency worker, and have to wait till March till that can change, with little security, ie I can be fired at any time. But I can leave at any time either.

Do I stay on my team, after being trained up and pretty settled on that team or do I move team, learn more and take a chance?

Although consider also that the work on my section at the moment is few and far between, very thin on the ground, although theres a new thing comming in literally in the New Year, that "should" increase work but I dont know for sure.

What do you guys think I should do?

Stay where I am, hope the work amount improves and stay comfortable.

Or go to a new section, where I could have a horrid boss, or a nice boss and take a chance?

If you are happy where you are then stay, if not then move.

How long are you going to stay there anyway, I thought you hated the job?

You seem to be a man constantly in search of the easiest way to make money.

Personally... just find a job you like and stick with it.

In that case you might as well go for it.

Watch out though, you might get stuck in a series of low paid jobs with no hope of promotion.

Werent you on here just a little while ago complaining about much you hated your job and debating whether to stick it out or leave?

If its still the same place, this  sounds like a perfect opportunity for a change of scenery without a change of company.
"Within your 'purview'? Where do you think you are, some f**king regency costume drama? This is a government department, not some f**king Jane f**king Austen novel!"
