Who are you going to wager your Euros on?

Nicolas Sarkozy? Would be interesting. France would burn. Cheney would tour Paris in a flack jacket, speaking of "some neighborhoods which are perfectly safe."

Im putting my wager on Ségolène Royal, despite her being an enemy of Japanese Anime.

Sarkozy will win I reckon, the French love their father figure presidents too much.

Sarkozy will win. Not one person Ive spoken to supporter or not, thinks Royal has a chance.

Cheers

Sarkozy sounds like a real bastard simpleton, not much unlike the "Praise Jebus and pass the ammo" wannabees that run this country. Hes also got the dubious big business connections that will no doubt influence policy. France certainly needs to step away from the pusillanimous radical left--but Sarkozy looks to be another mistake--oooh, but with different bogus ideology this time. France will burn.

French have always had a reputation for aloofness and self interest so really I doubt if it matters who gets in from a UK standpoint, each will have advantages and disadvantages.

Sarkozy or Royal, either could cause problems for us. Sarkozy may be more likely to kick the illegal immigrants waiting to get into the UK back to their own countries though.
