A sandwich is food placed between 2 slices of bread so i would say no!  :muttley:

a hotdog bun is just siamese bread twins, so Jamie loses a point :-p

Anything in a roll isnt a sandwich, its a roll, bap, cob, butty perhaps, but not a sandwich.

On the above grounds, a hotdog, being in a roll, is not a sandwich (regardless of orientation)

Did you have a bag of crisps with it? That nudges it more towards sandwich territory IMO.

a hot dog is is sausage in a long roll.
To make it sandwich you need to put the sausage in the long roll to make it a hotdog & then the hotdog between 2 slices of bred.
Then you have a hotdog samwich

If you are unlucky and the bun breaks in two, it becomes a sandwich.
