My middle brother is dyslexic, and is one of the most talented motorcycle mechanics in the country. Dyslexia carries far too much of a stigma.

anyone who is receiving some aid for a disability rightly deserves the aid given to them. im borderline, numbers really fork me around, so ive been researching into it.

tbh if you have a problem, obviously you should do all you can to aid this. if you feel guilty, just think what else you could have spent a grand on.

my ex missus got a new laptop for her birthday, got awarded a new computer, they reimbursed her the money for the laptop an bought a signature john petrucci ibanez with teh money.

i thought it is well spent. yes she is like f**king amasing on guitar so its well spent.

though I completely disagree with the lap top + extra time - I reckon you might as well milk it while they are offering it to you

----------edit just for the people that dont know----------
the test for dyslexia is just 8 or so small tests specific to one area.. 1 for reading, 1 for writing, 1 for spelling etc...    an average person should score 50 out of 100 in each test... and your results for each test should be about the same, so 49/100 for reading, 51/100 for spelling, 50/100 for writing etc... would be normal.... if theres a big gap between some of the scores then your dyslexic  e.g. I got 98/100 for spacial awareness, but only 12/100 for spelling, so Im dyslexic
---------- end of edit!----------

Im dyslexic too... dyslexic is too wide of a term tho, my spelling is terrible, my writing is a bit messy but only just below average but and all my other scores were good.

tbh i only think dyslexia holds you back if your really really dislexic... or if your a halfwit to start with.

exactly, thje problem is that you (or I) can be dyslexic and still be within the average for the nation. My reading/writing was IQ95 which is still ok and is by no means a problem.

Well, glad to have all of your comments, I will be taking advantage of all the benefits offered.
