I think your problem is the file Link is pointing to
C:\red bull\freecaster_player_169fs.mov

Shouldnt it be
ftp://FTP://red bull\freecaster_player_269fs.mov
or HTTP://

ATM its trying to download the videoclip off C:\ which would mean its looking at your C:\ Drive

The forums try to do a similar thing if you miss out the http:// whats happening is that its attempting to download something from the C:drive instead of the internet, when its plainly not there.

TBH you arent going to get much better a result unless you know the exact URL that you are looking for.

The alternative is to select download only and see if it does that.

I get the same error, Ive tried the first 3 options before I posted this, its just done it again, with the download option.

Ok I went into the source code of the web page found the .mov file

/Freecaster/webserverresources/Frameworks/FreeCasterFoundation.framework/WebServerResources/smil_player_169.mov

and put http://play.freecaster.com infront and it came with just the movie up in from of me.

You could use http://getright.com/ to download to your hard drive and then youll be able to open the .mov in Quicktime.

I emailed Freecaster, heres the reply.

Hello David,

you probably cant do anything with that file since its a reference to the real video on our server. These videos are protected by demand of the owner by a DRM. Since Freecaster doenst own the rights to the videos, we can only shown them in the Freecaster player. If the owner clears the rights, the videos is available for download. But that is not always the case.

All the best,
