anyone tried these 'put them in and leave them in for a month' contact lenses?
couple of people I know why use contacts I asked have never heard of them...
had an eye test the other day, I need glasses
I think I'd prefer contacts, optician said to get glasses first to get used to them, guess I'll need some anyway so it's no biggie... -2.5 in each eye so I'm not that bad
said I'd go back with g/f so she can pick the frames, I haven't got a clue :-o
My father has had them for years. I've worn contacts since I was 13 and want them so badly... but sadly been advised not to get them due to issues with corneal ulcers in my eyes (i've had 7 instances due to me being an idiot).
They work great, my father has no hassle with them at all and after wearing glasses for most of his life (think he started wearing contacts in his 40's after I'd had mine for a few years) he'd never go back.
I'm not quite sure what Nexus is talking about Dry eyes is a condition he should get checked but you can get drops for that including ones that are safe with contact lenses. He's talking about "thicker" month ones, but mine (take out at night) are exactly the same thickness as my dads maybe it's something different with NZ and UK lenses?
Glasses is low hassle, Contacts can be a faff at the beginning but 30 day contacts, they're brilliant.
Laser is attractive, but having known 2 people who've had it and are both back to wearing reading glasses (they still rate laser though), I ain't spending the few thou it'd take me to get my eyes done ( had a quote a while ago ) if I have to wear glasses again, it sort of defeats the point.
