Title: Grant National 2022

Well here we are again! First things first, I've noticed that E/W now seems to be one fifth odds rather than one quarter pretty much round the board, SOME bookies did this previous years but now they're all at at  With this in mind I probably won't be bothering with anything under 25/1

(2021 thread here http://www.tekforums.net/general-discussion/grant-national-2021-covid-special-edition/ )

https://www.oddschecker.com/grand-national/winner <- odds table, remember generally the odds tumble as the event closes in.

Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. The national is quite literally a lottery with so many horses running, the bookies can be "generous" On this event because with such an enormous field and now reduced E/W payouts they still win regardless.

With all this in mind I'm presuming bet365 will do this offer again on Thursday...

There are 2 roads you can walk, one you can either use an exchange like betfair to lay against yourself and snaffle around £80 risk free, details are on this site here https://www.teamprofit.com/bet365-grand-national-offer-explained

The second road is the one I take, is less scientific and is actually still gambling, what I'll do is use the offer to place £250 of bets for £125, I end up backing around half the field  last year I had 18 horses and had the winner and fifth, last year I didn't like to back more than 1/2 below 16/1 so I got lucky on the winner.

Good stuff, nice one getting the post in as I'd have completely forgotten about it I think otherwise!

Looks like I've missed the boat again on the Money Back Offer as I think my Bet365 account is probably still dead/deleted as I found last year, so I'll probably fire up the BetVictor account again.

Amazing, good luck

Next year I need to remember to setup a new B365 account well in advance.

Betting sites will now all be crushed and 404 tastic so here's the result, MOST bookies do "Best odds guaranteed" So if your horse went off at a higher price they should automatically apply it to your bet.

1. Noble Yeats 50/1
2. Any second now 15-2
3. Delta Work 10/1
4. Santini 33/1
5. Fidlerontheroof
6. Longhouse poet
7. Freewheelin Dylan
8. Coko Beach
9. Escaria Ten
10. Romain De Senam

Amazing, congrats! I'll have to not mess about next year and play more strategic

For sure, you don't have to go ridiculous as I do, you can use the deal to put £100 on for your £50.

I'll probably use my above bet values as a template next year as that seemed about right on the number of horses  :yarr:

Realistically though I don't think I'll ever be able to top that result as it's pretty much as good as it could have went.

I've made a fairly big win once since we starting posting every year, so statistically odds must be in my favour if I follow the trick above I would have thought. One or two horses extra/different would have done it.

Just a necrobump to remind anyone if they don't have an account and want this deal for 2023, you'll probably need to get one in the next few weeks.

I don't currently have an account, so would it be worth waiting until I'm inside the 30 days to also use the sign-up bonus of Bet £10 & Get £50 in Free Bets?

Only felt like the other month the 2022 discussions and it is nearly a year already, WTF.
