My mate asked about driving lessons & was told he aint eligible.
So Man 1 pays nothing into the system & gets a pot of gold.
Man 2 pays into the system and gets nothing back.

If your mate was down the dole office hes a waster.
Secondly, you know dont anything about this other guy. Its 2nd hand at best info. How do you know he wasnt an EU resident and therefore not an immigrant at all ?

And if you want to leave, off you go. 27 EU countries to choose from. Dont just sit around complaining.

People lose their jobs everyday for all sorts of reasons, doesnt mean hes a waster + technically you have to register if your unemployed so your NI stamp still gets paid - any NI gaps & you risk losing your state pension.
That has to be done down the social security office. - Social Security Office merged with Jobcentres over a year ago.

2ndly, where did I mention the words Illegal Immigrant? Even if he was a EU resident, why should he be entitled to OUR benefits system? Were not entitled to THEIR lower Interest rates for Mortgages.

Banks offer mortages it is nothing to do with governments. We are entitled to their cheaper houses and their cheaper beer prices. And many many thousands of britons are leaving to live there. I seriously considered buying a house in eastern europe and living for pennies.

What goes around comes around. The EU is benefical for us. London is the economic powerhouse of the world, and thats partly due to the the EU and we all reap the benefits.

Im with Sam on this. Im Chinese and my grandparents moved here in the late 60s and setup a business (takeaway of course) and my parents have also followed on from that. They saw the chance for a better life here and jumped on the takeaway bandwagon. In return there have been many British that have moved to Hong Kong in that time.

I have nothing against foreigners coming to do the jobs no one else wants to do. Sadly its not going to get rid of the dossers in this country.

Then theres the kids aswell who take their education for granted and doss about. I know a guy whos wife runs a charity in Africa (cant remember which country) and he visited them for the first time this summer. He spoke to a kid who walks God knows how many miles a day just to go to school. He asked him, do you like school? His reply was I love school because it can give me a better future.

So that would be British with Chinese heritage? I think that if your grandparents did the moving then you and your parents were probably born in the UK.

Yer that irks me too. Hes not Chinese anymore than I am. Hes British. However he does have Chinese roots.

Even more irks me in the states when my friends tell me they are Italian or Irish because in 1705 an Italian moved over.

erm? eh? who told you that rubbish - there is nothing to stop you from getting a mortgage pretty much anywhere in the EU (as long as you can afford it/have an OK credit rating)
