I have a 7.55 GB Blu ray film here, I was going to put it on my 8GB data traveler, so being told its
not big enough surprised me, its 8,011,182,080 bytes.....7.46 GB

yup, hardware manufacturers call 1,000 bytes 1KB, software manufacturers say 1024 bytes/KB
there has been an attempt to address this by calling 1024B 1KiB or Kibibyte, but this has not yet been widely accepted, I suspect largely because it sounds stupid.

They also tend to use unformatted capacity, so quite a bit vanishes when you format the drive.
