tbh.. I reckon max was alright

yeah he argues a lot in speakers corner and could be stubborn but I so do other people (myself included)

my only issue was that he just seemed to take it personally when someone disagreed with him - Serious never insulted him AFAIK - they just got into a disagreement on one thread which ended up with several quotes re quotes & basically a big messy debate

yeah there can be a fine line between what people percieve as banter vs insults and it is harder to distinguish online but sometimes I reckon people need to chill a bit

I guess we all know who sometimes has trouble with spelling sometimes, or who likes to used google, or who likes to complain about the forums lots (Im probably included there tbh.. but only when people locking threads for no reason) so it doesnt need mentioning too much but sometimes the examples of these are too cringe worthy that the poster has to at least expect some incoming - though they ought to be aware that AFAIK most of it isnt meant as a hateful attack.

I believe it was that thread where he went a bit loopy and started attacking people with fairly valid points simply because he didnt agree with them - its one thing to disagree with someone its quite another to go into a blind rage - Im sure he would make interesting contributions if he did come back but hopefully will take a few deep breaths and pause to think a bit more before posting.

I didnt mind Maxi, but he did have a bit of a blinkered view on things.  He always thought he was right, and everyone who didnt think the same way he did was wrong.  While its a Good Thing to have conviction, its a Bad Thing if you wont take others opinions into account, and consider the other side of an argument.  

It is a forum with a lot of people with different opinions and views and you can kick off sometimes in a discussion - fair doos can piss you off and that is fine after you cool off and you carry on
It is when people which some have done in the past decide to personally attack people, pick on them very childishly on the forums and that really is not on, that is my only gripe
Him and steve got heated but it was passion about a topic, cant see that as a reason to leave the forums, probably more dunnu.
