My mum isnt well...
on: August 12, 2006, 23:02:04 PM
Shes been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer thats spread to her liver and elsewhere. Basically the doc said shes got no chance and its just when it actually happens. Could be a few days, weeks or months, they just dont know.

Needless to say I dont feel too good or too nice ATM, what I really want to do is rip half the universe to bits and do some GBH to the rest. The fact that I cant do anything to prevent the inevitable is what hurts the most.

So if I bite a bit hard please think of this...

my condolances.

i would advise spending a lot of time with her, and make what time left as enjoyable as possible. trips etc...

make it a mission if you can afford to.

And mine back to you, hope your mum recovers OK ;)

She was sitting up today although still on oxygen. She also ate some of the cheese string things. Looks like she might be over the infection but as to how well she will be I have no idea and unfortunately Im not able with my arthritis to do enough to allow her back home if she doesnt improve further :(

Seeing her every day though for at least an hour and shes actually enjoying being in to an extent cause shes interacting with the other people on the ward and their visitors too. In some ways shes better off in there :/
