Merrells are trendy and overpriced. A few good models, to be sure, but I wouldnt trust them in the bush any more than some of the better Hi-Tecs.

Shoes Id trust to carry me up and down the Cascades: Vasque, Raichle, Asolo, Lowa, etc.

Merrell makes a few good looking womens urban hikers, but again, vastly overpriced.

My merrels have done me fine. Trekked up a couple of small mountains and along a fair sized (well deepest in the world actually) gorge in china and Im still using them now as every day shoes. Some of the most comfortable shoes Ive had, and I dont think £50 was that overpriced and that wasnt even at a cheap shop.

I dont want trekking boots, I just want some quality beige boots/shoes - trendy and overpriced would be ideal

 

Im gonna look at some ysl ones next week (bit towny) or else get some kickers i think.
