Title: NLP - anyone else used it

I know a few sales people who have looked at neuro linguistic programming and have tried to incorporate a few of the concepts into thier pitches but I was wondering if anyone on here has had a look at it & used it for anything else.

I recently bought NLP for dummies & some of it seems a bit crappy self guru type stuff but some other things such as the use of anchors seem to make sense.

Ive not personally used it but the *top* sales bloke at a previous company of mine swore by it.

He used to go on loads of semiars but I could never figure out if that was because they had lead him into it :)

NLP is also part of Derrin Browns arsenal of *tricks*

Yeah i know derren brown uses a lot of psychology - few sales people at my old firm used to go to various seminars tbh... (some even went to anthony robbins ones) & pretty much swore by all that stuff.

Im not in sales or anything - however NLP is supposed to be useful for other things - helping yourself to reamin calm and focused when under pressure etc..
