Latest Phishing Scam
on: June 09, 2010, 15:06:16 PM
Seems they can pirate your other tabs, at least in Firefox, so that if you open multiple ones, one with your bank, it can identify it, check on how long its been inactive and redirect to a phishing site. When you return to the bank page it looks like youve timed out and its requesting login again but the URL will have changed.

Arent I glad I dont do internet banking ^_^

I always close other tabs and windows when Im doing my internet banking. Other websites can spy on you from the other tabs.  :tinhat:

Thanks for bringing this to attention Serious. I am always cautious about using online banking, knowing it is a holy grail for hackers to get hold of internet banking logins...

They would be able to take much as I dont have much to lose! That is unless my Nigerian great uncles money comes through...   -)

What info can sites get regarding other tabs? I thought in chrome at least each tab was treated as a separate session/browser or something?
