yeah, looks like a brown recluse bite, dont worry about it though, youve got another leg right?
2 legs = redundant system.

Only when i come on here :D
Swelling has gone down some this morning and the whole area has bruised up. Things are looking up, especially as i am walking pain free today :D

Na we dont get those here,
Just dont google for recluse bites :S

I know that I was being funny. Although in this weather theyd be quite happy I fear. Also to get a bite that far up the leg hed have had to lie on one or put on a pair of trousers with one in them...which doesnt really bear thinking about. Plus if hed been bitten on Sunday hed have lost the bottom half of his leg by now without treatment.
Ive seen BR in California when I lived there, at least the Black Widows tend to stay outside your house and not in your shoes in the closet.

TBH it looks like a horse fly bite but it could be a tick bite in which case lymes disease is a possibility, if you start suffering flu like symptoms tell your doc.
You do not want to be suffering Lymes disease as it really KOs you.

think were past any other ilnesses TBH
