Cool, is it?

I keep trying to find a solid reference linking him to the poem but cant - and the lyrics of the poem keep changing!!

Spring has sprung
The grass is riz
I wonder where
The flowers is

Or even better:

Spring has sprung
The flowers riz
The bird is on the wing
How absurd
Id always heard
The wing was on the bird.

Spring is sprung,
The grass is ris,
I wonder where them birdies is?
Them birdies is on the wing,
Thats strange,
I thought the wing was on the bird!

EDIT:

tho google gives me

Spring is sprung
De grass is riz
I wonder where de boidies is?

De boidie?s on de wing
But dat?s absoid
I always hoid
De wing is on de boid

IIRC Its a nursery rhyme, not a poem although they are basically the same. Usually its treated as anonamous but may have been doen by Spike Milligan ;)
