I have done a 225 in Berkeley in the middle of the summer ! no rain for months , rain comes, rain + dusty streets= soapy and very slippery, comming round a bend  doing a 180 which continued, I see a driveway to a house and hit the gas pedal and ending up neatly parked on the driveway while the cars behind passes in astonishment :)

Im struggling to get a taxi and have just been told I might not even make it into Sheffield because of the weather, so I might not even get to pick up my car today :( Bloody snow!!

Heh, walked into Ferndown, tis about a half mile.

As well as my hubcap, there were 3 others, and a street sign at the end of the road I span round in has been pretty nicely knocked over!

I feel bad at my lame attempt at snow driving, but Id like to think that I made the sensible choice given my lack of skill - it was my first time on snow ever, and came home. At least I didnt damage any property or people...

People are SUCH pussies.  Its 2"-3" of snow here, and people are saying its at a standstill.  I was just driving around getting some sh*t I need, and you can tell people just dont know how to drive in this.  Its not even proper snow, its proper when its 6" or more.

The problem is the roads getting blocked by accidents. Every bloody morning when it snows you can guarantee most of the roads around here will be blocked, and the only way out will be some daft single track country road that hasnt been gritted.

If people stopped driving like loonies, crashing and then blocking roads everyone could get to work at a reasonable time, but of course you have the "I drive better when I drive quicker" self delusional brigade who insist on driving like idiots in thick snow and fog on winding roads.

You can hardly blame some people in places like where I live, where this is the only real snow weve had in the last 20 years or so, so like me it might be their first time.

Next time I will go at a snails snails pace, rather than just 5mph. Id like to blame it on the fact the estate hasnt been gritted, and driving a micra I have tiny wheels spinning fast that are thin and in a light car, but of course most of it is down to inexperience. Id have been alright if Id gone another 100m onto the gritted roads, but I decided it wasnt worth it. Its not just yourself you have to factor in, but the others like me that dont decide to play it safe and so end up crashing into the side of you...
