So Isaac Hayes has spat his dummie out & now Tom Cruise is the subject of riddicule & is also alleged to have spat his dummie out.
I hope all this just serves as a catalyst for South Park to simply carry on ripping the pi55 out of that cult - the more they start whining about it & reacting to it the more fun it will be for southpark to mock them.
-
LOL read this about 10mins ago. TBH i dont watch it so cant comment but it seems fair if they are trying to mock his own beliefs
-
The problem with the scientology lot is that they are happy to talk about their religion to others as long as noone disputes/parodies them. Plus the fact it was a religion started by a sci-fi writer.... knowing parker and stone they will just keep plugging away trying to either kill the arguments or kill the show. If south park gets killed they can move somewhere else and make a new show.. tbh i want them to move back to films, baseket ball and cannibal the movie were just amazingly funny
south park is good, but it is just their mouth piece for having a go at stuff because the show is so formulaic now

I noticed that the southpark epison in question all about the Scientology faith all the credits were the same name, apparently trey parker and matt stone set up some kind of company especially to avoid getting sued. 8)

Cult checklist
1. A movement that separates itself from society, either geographically or socially;
2. Adherents who become increasingly dependent on the movement for their view on reality;
3. Important decisions in the lives of the adherents are made by others;
4. Making sharp distinctions between us and them, divine and satanic, good and evil, etc. that are not open for discussion;
5. Leaders who claim divine authority for their deeds and for their orders to their followers;
6. Leaders and movements who are unequivocally focused on achieving a certain goal.
describes teh Bush administration rather well also.

Isaac Hayes shows his self to be a hypocrite, all the years the show has been around not once did he say anything about other religions and beliefs being mocked but when his beliefs gets the South Park treatment he chucks his toys out of the pram.
-
Islam, Christianity, and Judaism can all devolve into cults around personalities. Thats what mainstream Christianity has done in the states with these mega-churches and huckster ministers.
Its also the style of quite a few imams who manipulate folks to do their bidding.
Then you have Madonna and all those red string wearin idjuts...

exactly - IIRC one of the creators is jewish yet that doesnt seem to stop them from doing a whole load of jewish jokes
scientologists just dont seem to have a sense of humour - just like followers of another religion who also recently got upset over a cartoon

Representatives for Paramount and Cruise, a prominent Scientologist, denied he made any such threats or had anything to do with the Comedy Central network cancelling plans to air a repeat of the "South Park" episode titled "Trapped in the Closet," on Wednesday.
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of the crudely animated cartoon hit, issued a quirky statement, filled with references to Scientology and the science-fiction writings of church founder L. Ron Hubbard, suggesting Scientology was behind the scheduling change.
"So, Scientology, you have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for Earth has just begun," the pair wrote.
"Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies. Curses and drat! You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!"

You put up
now Tom Cruise is the subject of riddicule & is also alleged to have spat his dummie out.
Which was denied in the story I read on Yahoo, I didnt open and read your BBC link until after I posted.
-
After seeing how he reacted when he got squirted with water i would say that he had a hand in having it taken off the air

weve all been doooped. Har har.

Either its an elaboate stunt, or theyre just writing him out of the series - Id say the latter.
-
Im watching the episode right now. Ouch. Its harsh. :lol:
Funny thing is that the Scientology stuff is so outrageous that they have to put a "this is what scientologists actually believe" prompt on the screen so you dont think theyre being silly. PMSL.
