I dont think anyone should get anything back. You knew the rules when you signed up. If you ignore it why should they refund you ?

A lot of times they have charged me after their charges have made me go overdrawn. Sure not all the time but on most the occasions have sent me overdrawn.

They are not entirely clear about the charges that you will get charged too, until you are already overdrawn.

When I was a student the bank offered me no advice on how to spend my money, they simply just gave me an overdraft facility and then hope you use it in the hope they can charge you.

I think what they could have had was when I signed up for this account I have had for the past several years, is that the woman should tell you not to go over your overdraft facility.

I havnt really had a bringing up where my dad and mam said "oh, you should get a job etc etc" they just let me get on with it, so I thought woo hoo free money and to some one who doesnt really have the common sense to stop and then gets in a tumble it can be very hard to get out of that loop.

Mix that with my life over the last 6 years and Im surprised its not more.

I think the charges are punitive at times and fair play to anyone that gets their money back.

We dont all have the free time to devote to the endeavour that you do though mr_roll, I value my time more than enough to not want to waste it attempting to scrape back what would probably only be £200 cumulative from the bank.

Offset that against the fact they might shut your account down...

For £1700, good on you though.

Im planning on opening another account with another bank this month, and just put a little in there and keep that incase they do close my account :)
