TheCameron/Miliband debate
on: March 26, 2015, 22:16:12 PM
Anyone listened to this? Some tough questions to Cameron - a lot he couldn't or didn't want to answer. Plenty about broken promises. I'm a bit suspicious about his claim of having eaten 3 shredded wheat though, I wonder if he's drank 14 pints a day too?

Miliband certainly answered the studio audience questions a bit better. Admitted the Labour party got the regulation of banks wrong. The advantage is that Labour hasn't been in power, Blair long gone, Brown is going.

Paxton tried to tie Miliband back to the last Labor government. TBH he's a tough questioner.

i think it showed exactly why cameron does not want to do the live debates.
Miliband theatrical performance will easily win him votes while cameron looks like a bumbling idiot muttering & repeating the same answers for different questions.

No doubt the 'audience' was hand picked & the questions was already scripted for the leaders beforehand.

As for Broken Promises - well there was tons of them under the last lot. Nothing bigger or comparable to the European Constitution, where was promised a referendum which never happened. Luckily for us countries like Ireland voted against it, then the sleezy politicians across europe, altered it slightly & got it through the backdoor as a treaty.

Anyone can make a promise to do & not deliver. Personally thing Manifesto's should be a legal binding document. At least that will take a lot of the BS way. I remember Cons saying they would not raise VAT before they got in.. what did they do? raise VAT...

As for migration, its almost impossible to control the numbers when Euro migration is factored in. We can't do anything about that.
One thing that Pees me off with these numbers is that when you look at the people coming in, how many of them are as skilled as people going out?
People tend to move countries to better their lives.
How many UK doctors & nurses do we lose & replace them with Philipino doctors & nurses for example? What is the difference in that level of doing the job?
If the british nurses are leaving to go to Canada & US - then why arent the philipinos doing the same?

At the moment the polls are pretty much even, both main parties were on 34%, so the smaller ones have a high chance at another hung parliament. Then again polling is one area where things are not always so predictable and voters have been known to lie - a lot.

Then Cameron is spouting stuff like...

Quote
At the party's spring forum, Mr Cameron said that more hospitals must provide top-level treatment at the weekend, starting with emergency care.

There has also been claims that GPs will provide 7 day a week coverage by 2020

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-29415929

What I want to know is, with all the cuts they are going to be making, HOW THE HELL ARE WE GOING TO AFFORD IT?

2020 British navy, one rowboat for the admiral of the fleet.... :ptu: Air Force, one radio controlled drone from Maplins or similar.

That may well apply to Labour too.

Election 2015: Cameron 'brain fade' over West Ham/Aston Villa support

Can't even remember what football team he supports? Dementia or generalized political bain rot? ??? Might also be suffering republicanism as in Ronnie Ray-gun  :tinhat:

More likely simple exhaustion.
