Or those little paper things that go bang when you throw them.

I loved them so much! Where can you get them these days?

Ahaha, so many things have been said here which I forgot about or thought no one would have known what I was talking about. I used to have that dinosaur!

I ended up going on a manta force website last night and looking at all the product lines, I think I had nearly the whole set, it brought back happy memories of having them out on my grandmothers living room floor when we went round for sunday lunch and using the ships to shoot each other or scoop up the manta men!

Zoids were cool too, I used to love the fact they had little people in cockpits. Maybe thats where my fandom of Battletech/mechwarrior came from!

Is the one in the bottom left holding a silver dildo?

I think I remember having a few G.I.Joes, as I thought the articulation was amazing. I used to love throwing them in the air and looking at how they landed as they so often resembled people in films that had fallen from a great height with limbs twisted all over the place :|

Quite tough too tbh. Yes the planes etc broke and bits lost but considering how much me and my brother payed with them and threw them around, outside play etc they did pretty well. Stronger looking toys broke over these. The men though - I mean as you say, had all those joints etc but I only ever remember one of the older ones having his lower half snap off. Considering we had well into double figures for them, Not bad.

Those knock off transformers that turn into rocks were actually from the Gobots film, "Battle of the Rock Lords".

I had a Tomy AFX set (scalextric knockoff about half the size) which I thought was fantastic even though it always took about half an hour to get it working when you set it up.

I also had a large amount of Manta Force which has seen a great deal of use as my youngest cousin is 13 years younger than me and therefore only recently stopped playing with it. All the guns still fire although some of the "exploding" platforms on the Battle Fortress are a bit weak these days.

I also had a fairly massive collection of cap guns of various types

Werebears or were they Scarebear/Teddy Scares? I did have one though, it was cool. Still have some of the original plush Gremlins that turn inside out from "cute" to mean.

Did anyone have the larger scale boglins, which were like rubber puppets that sat in a cage and had arms and moving eyes/mouth, with a hole underneath so you could puppet them?

I also did, and still have, the full set of the Kenner Aliens figures. They were played to death though so not worth much. The Scorpion Alien was awesome, has a button on the tail which would make the upper torso/arms explode. It also was one of the few figures that actually resembled the aliens/characters in the films!

My brother had loads of them. The best ones were the "soggy boglins", I remember one had a strangely sticky tongue and another one a big clicky lobster claw.

/sigh...all those great toys, theres nothing today compares to the quality and imganination that went into them.

Zoids, Transformers, Lego, Meccano, Plastic Soldiers of all descritpions, Action Figures, and all the comics and supporting cartoons that provided a rich back story!

Whats on earth is out there today thatll be collectable in 15/20yrs time?!

Seems a lot of the ones out there nowadays are made with the intent of being collectible, such as the MacFarlane "toys" etc

I do remember when MacFarlane first brought out the spawn figures, picking a couple up in a bargain bin in Toys r Us for 99p each, Id never seen an action figure as detailed as that before! I think it was a mascot in my Common Entrance exams ><
