I watched the golden compass with my sister a while back. It made next to no sense, and was a little long. With all the fuss that was made over it, and how the books it is based on are so hyped, I decided maybe it just wasnt that good a film, or something, so wikid the story / plots of the books.
After getting a pretty concise picture of each books plot and the overlying story, I seriously dont see how they can be so popular. I did something similar with the Dune saga as I got fed up of getting into arguments with people over whether Dune or LOTR was better, so I read the whole saga. I thought they got worse as they went along, but in the scale of things at least the last book I read (Chapter house dune I think) was readable and had a solid idea behind it ><
Last night I watched "The seeker: The Dark Is Rising"
I should have been dubious of any film that has two "the"s in its title. Most predictable film Ive seen in a long time, and every time something was just about to "happen" it was like someone on set yelled "stop, this is getting too exciting, lets reign it in" and totally toned it down.
Ive still yet to see *my* xmas film (scrooged), its recorded, but I never get the chance to watch TV till dad goes to bed at like 10 so its too late
Also have "What about Bob" recorded hehe
