I have been vaping for over 3 years, I started after I had a smoking related health scare. I tried gum, patches etc which were next to useless tbh and I knew from the day of getting my first kit that I had found something to replace smoking with.
Over the years I have spent quite a lot on higher end equipment Genesis, mechanical mods etc but always less than it would cost me to smoke, over the last 12-18 months that has settled down as I have found devices that suit me, I spend on average around £10-15 a week including eliquid on it.
My all day vapes are a pair of Kayfun v4's which offer a really good performance and are really convenient as they never leak and need a minimum of maintenance, except from a 5 minute weekly wick change and a new coil every 2-3 weeks. I run them on a DNA40 and a SX mini regulated box mods at 30-35 watts. I also have a couple of drippers which I just use at home at I tend to vape them at 50watts+.
I have been playing around with different coil styles recently my Kayfun's have clapton coils and drippers fused clapton's which really do make a large difference to the vapor production and flavour due to the massive surface area increase they offer over a regular coil. I used to make them freehand which was quite fiddly, but found this video a few weeks back and have been using this method ever since which makes it a doddle to do:
I have no plans to stop vaping as I do enjoy the act and nicotine, I view it as a alternative rather than a quitting tool, I currently vape at 24mg I have tried lower strengths but I found I just used it more, I would rather have a really satisfying vape then go 10-15 minutes between than reaching for it every few minutes.
