In terms of World War, big discovery, MASSIVE achievement that is a global affair. What do you think will be the next biggest global shocker and can be good or bad.

I think this is an interesting topic and interested to see what people think, will be someone nuking someone else? will Aliens visit and say hello to us all? The cure for cancer or aids?

Something big might happen once/if the UK and USA both get a new government in? hard to say what though.

Slightly off topic the mayan and Inca History I find fascinating all that we know about them just creates a thousand and one questions more about them, I remember watching a program last year and how this guy and his team believe several large mountains are actually  temples as while now round with growth overall when you look closer at them they are actually stepped in the correct shape.
And then you go to the pyrmid shape through how most have a flat top with Egypt and other locations tipped but basically the same, now of course aliens sound far fetched but I mean we know a lo t about our past but we still do not know a lot more and how things were can be wrong and new discoveries re-write history all the time. More logical is that humans traveled the world earlier and further then we know, but then we do not know a lot.

Its all great stuff I leave reading about things like that and with this topic I think it just feels to me something big is going to happen, massive world events when you look at it in the past there has just been a big gap and some shocking things have happened and amazing but I mean when someone goes "we have the cure for cancer" That is just going to be HUGE. Aids - now that will be even more amazing but then a massive problem as you can bet the 3rd world will not see that cure for a very long time even if it exists and the rows and even wars that could occur as a result...

My fantasy hope is that Nice Aliens come down say hi, share some stuff with us, even just the knowledge to do it ourselves and help us along will be a massive thing, if the human race does it right it would open everyones eyes to so much more then we are and to be part of that or something else world history in the making would just tick that box if you get me.

Wouldnt it be great if they werent so nice. Not evil or anything, but not that lovely enough to make the world powers put aside their differences and focus on global defence etc. Itd also be interesting to see how the religious leaders react, how aliens factor in to religion. Wed be screwed if it turned out that the aliens had a religion like one of our own...

Good point about religion as basically a number of them would be totally messed up as we are the center and only people of the universe under their god(s) and so 100% throw that down the drain for them etc.
