Wine Guerillas?
on: June 16, 2007, 11:01:06 AM
According to the beeb 24 news on the top of other farming problems such as blocking ports, roads and generally protesting as well as their fishing fleet occasionally blocking the ports there is now a group of wine growers complaining of the low price they are getting.

The obvious option of removing some of the nastiest wine production from use and for the farmers to do something else isnt an option for them. There have been a series of small explosions and they have hijacked a lorry containing non French wine and emptied it.

About bloody time the French government got tough I think, before they get around to killing people.

Government?  EU more like.  The amount of farming subsidies going to france beggars belief; the whole lot of them need sorting out.

Doesnt matter to us so much, we get a rebate to keep it relatively fair. Its the only countries who lose out.
