Everyone assumes a good long life with good health, but for about half the world population, illnesses dominate peoples lives, some time with no choice, but people get on with it, tough luck if you fall ill.
It would seem healthy people are sh*t at planning for future illnesses, they adopt the opinion.
"It will never happen to me"

I wrote a will a few years back which states exactly what happens to the money and my 50% share of the house I live in. Simply put if I die first then my brother gets it but if he dies first then it goes to an animal charity.
His is the same except I get the house and dosh and his charity is the national trust.

Its not such a terrible attitude is it? I mean sure I do what I can to avoid getting more sick than I need to (I dont smoke or use drugs, and I try to keep fit and eat well) but Im not going to start worrying about what happens if I develop heart disease am I? Its just a bit depressing to worry about that sort of thing now unless you know that its very likely to occur. Live life to the full and enjoy it while you can says I, no sense in turning into a paranoid wreck who never leaves the house for fear of contracting bird flu

Id rather know in advance, to sort everything out, prepare goodbyes, go lootin and pillagin.

Death is as much a part of life as breathing, eating or sex. Mental, physical and spiritual preparation for death is very important, however many people use that as an excuse to obsess over death and literally worry about it until they do indeed die.
Whilst preparation is important its equally important to remember that life is for living. Deal with the experience of dying when you get there. Until then, smile and enjoy yourself. Then when you are on your deathbed youll still be able to smile at the thought of an accomplished and enjoyable life. In light of my own opinions on the subject I voted that Id not like to know.

It takes a few hours to write out a will and get a couple of people to act as witnesses and it saves any residual money you have, insurance, your house if you have one, etc. going intestate and then spending at least a year in limbo. most dont even bother doing that much. My father didnt but my mother got everything, including his pension. My aunt didnt either and the estate, about £800,000 went intestate and was given out to relatives rather than the charity that she wanted it given to.
Im very thankful mum wrote out a will as it will make at least some things easier.

i think i would rather it be a surprise/out of the blue rather than know about it in advance.
If i knew about it I would probably spend my remaining days trying to avoid it.
-
Id prefer to go out because of a mistake I made. My last words being something along the lines of the fabled "aaahhh crap."

me too, i would rather go out in a ball of flames than on my death bed tbh.

My last words will likely be, "hold my beer and watch this."

i want mine to be
"christ that hurt."

lol its quite surprising how much time you have when you think your about to die.
Back a few years ago, I was in a car that was out of control careering down a mountainside about to fly off of a hairpin bend and er.. turn into a big ball of flames.
Girl by the side of me just kept shrieking (which is bloody annoying when your trying to think of what options you have), bloke in front battled with the steering and the brakes to attempt bring it under control, I was buckled in and in the back and couldnt do anything, so I got my mobile out and sent a text to my mum, and my girlfriend and my best mate.
When I looked back up we still had like about 10 seconds to go until we went over the edge and I had literally nothing to do.
As it turns out, we went over the edge, but one of the bollards caught the car and span it sideways so the left hand side stayed on one side of a kerb ridge thing, the right hand side of the car was over the edge. Guy in front started the engine again, and we drove on down the mountain, and promptly crashed through a garden wall about 2 minutes later.

Its been proved that in cases of extreme emergency your brain can both speed up and shut down some of the unnecessary sections of your brain to allow for quicker thinking about possible escape options. Many people feel no or very little pain dispite being injured due to imense amounts of chemicals dumped into the bloodstream
Wont give you enough time to write a will and get it witnessed though unless you survive.

ha, you c***to!
:D :D
love it...

Think that should be "hold this empty beer glass and watch this..." :D
Mine would preferably be a series of pants and groans while doing the biz in bed with a gorgeous girl

Last minute.
I know its better if you can sort things for other people but I saw my grandad gradually fade away to nothing (cancer) so
Id rather not know and not make everyone else suffer having to see me do that.
