This weekend, I'll be giving my bike a complete strip down and rebuild to clean out all the grit and get it running absolutely perfect.

I'll document the process for you guys, so you can do it yourselves if you wish.

For this guide, you'll need some special tools.  None are expensive.

What I will be covering
Suspension Fork Fitting
Derailleur Fitting and adjustment
Cables
Cassette Removal and Fitting
Crank Removal and Fitting
Pedal Servicing
Chain Cleaning

What I won't be covering
Wheel Tru-ing (I can't do it, and my wheels are perfect)
Headset Fitting (Do this wrong, and you can kill your frame.  Most bike shops will fit these for free if you buy a good one)
V-Brakes (I have hydraulic Disc Brakes)
Traditional Botton Brackets and Splined/Tapered cranks. (I use Hollowtech and X-Type Bottom Brackets)


I'll split each section down, and outline the tools required for the job.

For every job, you'll need a set of allen keys. Ranging from 2mm to 8mm.  The most common ones are 4, 5 and 6mm.
A Phillips Screwdriver.
Pliers.
