Clarksoff
on: March 25, 2015, 20:34:41 PM
It is with great regret that I have told Jeremy Clarkson today that the BBC will not be renewing his contract. It is not a decision I have taken lightly. I have done so only after a very careful consideration of the facts and after personally meeting both Jeremy and Oisin Tymon.

I am grateful to Ken MacQuarrie for the thorough way he has conducted an investigation of the incident on 4 March. Given the obvious and very genuine public interest in this I am publishing the findings of his report. I take no pleasure in doing so. I am only making them public so people can better understand the background. I know how popular the programme is and I know that this decision will divide opinion. The main facts are not disputed by those involved.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Id be keen for an overhaul, let those 3 go to Sky or similar for a recreation then hire a new 3 and start over.

The Top Gear US has done that and its excellent entertainment.

Until there was an issue over it insurance companies charged women less for their insurance than men, meaning they were less likely to have an accident. You're obviously not going to watch it anyway. So perhaps you should shelve with the Male Chauvinist Pig attitude?.

women may have less accidents, but they cause more. 12 miles on the motorway this morning stuck behind a woman who on the outside lane doing less than 60 - lots of opportunity for her to move to the inside lane... no doubt she hogs the middle lane on a 3 lane motorway as well.

I have been stuck behind men doing the same, and had men zooming past undertaking in the slow lane when I was doing 70mph. I've also seen men towing huge caravans with no way to see what is behind them.

Men tend to cause accidents by not abiding the rules, women by getting their attention distracted. Neither are perfect.

Perhaps it's time for the google self drive car to take over?

The only good one will be Guy Martin, cus he has an interest in everything fast it seems, and i generally like the bloke as much as the previous presenters.

Glenister and Kidd on the other hand are not the best choices.

Clarkson, Hammond and May worked together because they are genuine friends and all work well. I have tried to watch Top Gear USA, its not as fluid, thats what UK Top Gear will turn into.

If Clarkson, Hammond and May were to start another show i think thats where the ratings would go.

I personally dislike Chris Evans, he's a lot of a plonker, so if it is him I won't be watching...

Yeah, like the BBC will care.

It won't matter, the original trio are making their own new show anyway, you can guarantee it will be miles better
