Canon 70D

(1/1)

zpyder:
Looks like the difference between spec is getting a bit blurred for the 7D and 70D. I suspect IQ might still be a tad better on the 7D given Canon has crammed in a 20mp sensor on the 70D.

Just going to have to wait for the spec list for the 7D MkII, which if some of the specs I've seen are true, I will likely upgrade to :D

Russell:
Just read somewhere when trying to find out the possible specs of the 7d mkII that they don't expect it to get released this year so you might be waiting a while.

zpyder:
That's fine. To be honest not sure I'd want to upgrade just yet.

My main concern is that with all the stacking I've been doing I've actually got to about 60 000 shutter actuations. Obviously a way to go before I hit the 150 000 life of the shutter, and I'm guessing that figure is based on average number of shots a year in a range of conditions, instead of 2000+ photos in weekend on a tripod.

Yikes that's a lot of actuations, I think my D7000 has maybe 20000 max in a few months short of 2 years!  I've not looked into how much it is to replace the shutter in a camera might be cheaper than a new camera but not as much fun lol
