Try playing the game fella.... Id agree with you (shock horror ;-)), But I took up the game late (well into my mid 20s), but its such an enjoyable day out.... even if your not playing. Those pics was taken over a course of 4 hours. The time flew by.... Now I know you seem to love rugby, but you cant p[lay because of a wrist injury (single guys injury ;-))

Give the game a chance fella.  Youd be suprised how natural the game comes to a sporting person who likes a bit of pain/injury..... and it certainly keeps you fit if your stuck between 2 people 50+ in the field.

20yrs ago in school, I wouldnt batter an eyelid at cricket, but now, Ive realised its such an enjoyable sport/game & its not only about bowling/batting

Some good photos there Egg.

I took some photos at a few matches for a Sunderland based cricket club using my D50 with a 70-300 and I had a D2H with a 70-300 from the School I used to work at.  The biggest problem I had really was the background was far too cluttered you dont seem to have got that problem and it makes for some good photos.  I also found that I usually ended up missing a few wickets which was a pain, Id fire off a burst of say 5-6 frames a ball and the 7th would be the wicket, doh.  Quickly got out of that habbit lol.
