Macro Lense Adaptors

I was having a look about on the old fleabay to kill some time at work and came across these -
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MACRO-Close-Up-Lenses-for-Nikon-D50-Brand-New_W0QQitemZ230017737398QQihZ013QQcategoryZ30070QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
These any good? Just curious really £13.80 seems quite cheap, much cheaper than buying a specific Macro lenses which for me would be overkill as Id probably never use it.

Get them from 7 day shop. Cheap camera stuff on ebay tends to be crap tiawanese junk.
As for close up filters, yep they work... just like shoving a magnifying glass on the end of your camera

do you have a 50mm prime? or better yet a 28mm?
if so consider getting a reversing ring instead. Im sure these are available for the Nikon system and when paired with a decent lens (hence the 50mm prime suggestion) will invariably give better results than a cheap close up filter.
for a demonstration of what a reversed lens can do, see my entries to the "how good is your macro" thread.
