Had to get up at 4am to catch a flight to Moscow but the above sunrise made it a lot more pleasant.

That's glorious. Are you hoping to take a lot of snaps in Moscow too?

Lovely colours!

I keep on meaning to get up that early to get some sunrises but for some reason I never quite manage it, maybe one day...

I'm unemployed from next week so maybe I'll get a chance to do it then. I've been meaning to do some sunrise/sunsets for ages, only managed to get one shot so far. I've been told some of the places kathryn does bird ringing are pretty good in the early hours, covered in mist etc :D

Thanks all  :)

I'll admit now there is a reasonably high amount of post processing to make it so vivid, I upped the blacks to get a perfect silhouette, put some vignetting on and increased the saturation and vibrance to bring out the colours. Very pleased with the result though.

I took over 1000 shots in Moscow and Im not overly pleased with any of them, admitedly most of them were holiday snaps so I didnt expect much. I'll upload some later this week I expect, see what everyone thinks.

Flattered you actually want it, I'll get one up at some point later this week. I think this might finally be a photo worthy of a canvas in my house (when one of those cheap canvas offers comes up again).

Its my last week in my job this week so im out most nights, not a lot else weill be getting done.

Great pic mate, I'm never up early enough to get a sun rise!

If you want a fixed size canvas then this bloke looks pretty good, and not expensive:

If you want custom size then I always use these, they aren't that bad price wise either:

I think it looks far more posh as a framed print than a bit of cloth stretched over some bits of wood :P

For this picture I agree it would look much better as a conventional print, I'm trying to search the forum for a post that kunal put up for some form of metal printing but the search doesn't appear to be working.

You'll get a much better sunrise compared to the canvas..

Ahh found it, it was C-Type printing, supposed to be quite good..

For those interested, below is the totally unedited version, quite a difference  :-[

I really like the unedited sunrise shot actually, I'd maybe tweak the contrast a bit and then it would be spot on for me with just edge detail of the buildings coming through.

Moscow's financial district makes Canary Wharf look uninspiring! Some nice shots there especially considering they were holiday snaps as you put it, I love the reservoir and the colourful church shot.

Looks fantastic as a Desktop background :)

If you do get a print made up, let us know how it turns out.
