I just got back from a weeks holiday in South Wales. I reckon it must be a good year for Dragon flys, they were everywhere! anyway I think they look pretty cool and they seemed to want to be photographed, so here are a couple of the best shots I got.
This guy was the first one I saw, and the only green one. He just sat there on his leaf, happy as anything while Dad and I took loads of frames.

Having almost never seen one sit still long enough for me to take a photo before, there then seemed to be Dragon flys everywhere the following day, all clamoring to have their photos taken, including this guy with rather cool red flecks on the ends of his wings
