Tripods

Just wondering whether people think this might be any good?

http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-giottos-mtl9361b-mh5001-tripod-kit/p1518591

Im thinking of replacing or upgrading my Jessops jobby, sure its cheap and cheerful, but its pretty wobbly and basic. Ive bit the bullet and got a 100mm macro on its way, and am thinking a tripod that allows for the low-level adjustment like the above would be pretty good...but is it going to be wobbly?

Is it worth getting a different head as well, as though the head in the set seems pretty versatile, I cant help but think itll be fiddly?

The redsnapper tripods always seem to get excellent reviews for quality / VFM whenever I see anything about them.

At that sort of price point think Id want to go ball head.

Kunal, I think PaulS and myself have the Manfrotto 190XPROB, I got the kit with the 804RC2 head, I think Kunal has a ball head and Paul has the trigger version.

Great tripod, and the centre column can also go horizontal, which might be good for getting close to objects to the side of the tripod.

Only complaint is that is is not a lightweight tripod, but you pay the premium on all lightweights!

Edit: Also got this ball head in addition, which normally sits on my lightweight tripod, I like the one that comes with the kit though as better for panos:

Problem is price with the manfrotto stuff,it all seems much more expensive!

Mind you it seems a bit lighter than the giotta!

2.26kg according to Clifton Cameras @ £145

As opposed to 3.1kg and £110 from Bristol Cameras

Both I think have additional postage, also check on warehouse express reviews, I seem to remember them being a bit sh*t but I could be wrong.

The Giottos also goes horizontal as well which is a bonus.
