Watcha think? Kodak EasyShare V610

10X zoom 6MP in what looks like a flat pack compact? (111 x 55.5 x 23.2mm (WxHxD) and weighing 160g). Costs £350.

Lack of IS at that kind of focal length is going to hurt the usefulness of the long zoom, even with ISO 800 capability. Its certainly impressive that theyve managed to get that much reach into such a small body with no protruding optics, but I am skeptical of how well it will stack up in terms of image quality against its larger rivals.

I was thinking it was a bridge too far myself but it might be useful for some who are prepared to work around its problems. ISO800 is definitely too much for the camera, 200 is a more realistic limit which means the zoom will only be useful in daylight.
