I thought you got the light weight carbon version?... Ive ordered the new tripod now anyway ;)

Nah, I got the 055XPROB (2.4kg) + 488RC2 head (0.7kg).

Wouldnt really cut the mustard if I didnt have anything to attach it to and wanted to be more than 20cm off the ground.

Worked really well, was so light I could even keep it attached to the camera, with it around my neck, and also worked as a good stabiliser with two legs resting on the top of my trousers (tripod legs obviously not extended)
