Dawned on me last night that I could go old school and use frames.

Split the page in two and have two instances of the same site for comparisons.

Simple but clunky. But I hear that frames will be unsupported in the future.

I might try and look into the css alternative.

FRAMES.... NOOOOOOooooooOOOOooooo
I get the impression they're frowned upon haha.

Its funny when you think back to websites 20 years ago when they were fairly common. Should make a retro Internet experience website haha

If it was not for the fact Google wont update a lot of their system for things like youtube to remove frame injection methods they would all ban them.
X-frame and frame handling has been super locked down so some of the cool things you could do you can not any more. It was for a while the single most effective way to hack websites and SQL injections and more.
These days its a lot of perfomance and rendering issues plus not being able to effectively pass data back and forward.
Most Form services and like will have just a form and simple post but if you want fancier features will will literally be a div and javascript line will render everything through that.

Outside of the security and privacy concerns I can just see and least the first gen being just crap at its intended use.
I can imagine it think its lost your face and locks your phone as your using it or flicking lock and unlock constantly or just not be usable if your a person that has your phone with podcast on the bench or sink as your getting ready for work or propped up watching youtube etc.

I just see it as a bad idea all round.

I would say you really need to try them, they can be noisy and feel very different between the different key caps. I have a Corsair 'silent' mechanical keyboard with RBG and gubbins and its great, not too noisy, I think the only upgrade path would be to their new K100 I think it is with Axiom keys, but that's ridiculous money.

No where really does them in store.

Seems a good entry withe mac and pc, wired and wireless options. Some layout things people say but good overal. Hard to change the switches/caps as limited on offer so people say but seems OK.
I would prefer something to fit the white / black I am going for in my home office though.

Seems less good but Glorious have a lot of switch options with these.

Then you can go into the full crazy town:

This has no switches or caps at all, just the board but apparently very good.

Just so much to this area now. the different percentages etc. In any case it will be an adjustment but I like the idea of these and using one.

It's not much more of a stretch than what currently is able to be done/is done.

I mean, my phone bypasses the lock screen if I press the power button and it sees my face. A lot of the features they describe are for when the phone is on anyway.

And when it's off it'd just see the insides of my pocket mostly :D

I can see quite a few privacy issues with that if they send data and record it elsewhere. They will certainly know you have been looking at granny pron.

Then modern phones could use this anyway now if they have face recognition.

I'm presently looking for a decent cheap new 5G ready mobile, but not much sticks out to me in the £200-£300 range.

Presently using an older Motorola G5 which would now be considered very unusual as it has an easily removable battery (try tracking it without power.) The cover I have on (cost £2 over 3 years ago) was degrading badly so I recovered with some 1mm thick furniture leather I had lying around. The effect isn't perfect but good enough till I get a replacement phone. It's also now got a nifty tab to stop the cards I have in there falling out.

I have two cheap Chinese ones and while they are a little noisy they are otherwise fine. They work perfectly well and overall I prefer them to membrane ones.

The noise can add an extra layer of assurance that they have operated too, so not entirely bad.
