My wifes old run around Astra diesel was about to cost a lot to get through the next mot.

So we've decided to lease a brand new Nissan Leaf. It top of the range model with all the toys and does about 160 miles on a charge which is perfect for her doing her domestic cleaning round and costs about £2 to fully charge. I'm converted. 8)

Chrome has been awful for a long time, it's just only now people are realising it. Firefox is still my main browser but Brave, even Vivaldi are all pretty good

If you want a chromium based browser - Brave.
Otherwise go firefox.

What is happening with Chrome and google search and some other products is turning into a massive dog pile of disaster for google.

I run chromium (linux) without a problem ( 101,8 Mbps ). I read that chrome had problems and that one should upgrade to latest version.

I had an old pc in the office running 4x 32inch tvs and a widescreen monitor in portrait, tv's for cctv and the monitor shows gps tracking

it was struggling to keep up with the cctv, had to turn the quality right down

upgraded my pc at home, brought my old one in to swap for this one so I could turn the quality up a bit

got it up and running but internet seamed a bit slow... fired up a www.speedtest.net and speeds were crap

had to stand on a chair holding the keyboard and mouse to use the pc so trouble shooting was a pain in the arse, checked everything I could, couldn't see a reason why... I was getting 1Mbps while office pc plugged into the same hub was getting 60Mbps

maybe a crap network cable?  the switch is right in front of the that pc

swapped the cable to a spare one that came with a cctv camera, nice and short... speed results were even worse? maybe the camera is only 1000Mbps so they send crap cables?  all a bit weird

pulled the network cable out of the printer to try that, it's a decent quality cable... speeds up and down a bit

it's driving me crazy at this point, climbing on and off the chair to test sh*t

then it hits me....

fire up edge and run the speed tests.... all fast

it's basterd chrome

wtf happened to chrome, it was the best by miles for years

wasted at least an hour of my life, drove me totally crazy

If you're not dead set on having petrol at all, have you looked at SUV type electric cars? There's plenty on the market now.

thinking about getting rid of my range rover

few niggle problems on it but local range rover specalist takes bloody forever to fix anything, I could get a somehting new, drop this ne at the garage and then sell it when it's sorted

it was £4500 getting a suspension leak fixed and took 8 weeks - mostly them waiting on parts :-(
(it's a lift the body off the chassis job to get to the leak)

looked about but can;t see much else I like, I really like the range rover seating position and view

I've got a sport now, thinking might get a vogue next - practically the same car tbh

might get a p400e - the hybrid one, 300hp petrol engine and 100ho electric - but heating variying reports, some poeple saying they're awesome and some people saying the petrol engine is too gutless when you run out of battery so revs it's tits off

can;t really decide tho, it's a big wedge to spend on a car

plus...  I don't want the appearace if a car that's too nice, just encoureges people to rob me :-(
