Ive never seen that photo of Aisha before (or the Time cover itself) and Im pretty shocked it isnt commonly known about, theres some home truths to that article. I dont even think our/my generation is that bad, I think the current younger flock of kids are the ones experiencing the full force of social networking as an outlet for LOLZ, "OMG I saw a spider" and music lyrics for status changes. Its a step backwards tbh. I can see the inherent usefulness of Twitter, but no one uses it well to really share information. I had a bit of rant on Facebook about people updating their statuses with mindless pap. I always ask myself would someone find this useful, informative or is it a big enough event for me to warrant an update - at the very least it has to be something pretty funny and something I would say in person to people - with that in mind Ive done maybe three updates in the past 30 days, one relating to my birthday, one relating to the Prodigy gig I went to and another about watching Shutter Island to say how good I felt it was. Even so it still feels like talking a lot of garbage, but the reality is that everyone isnt a journalist so its understandable. What I dont understand how something like this can go unmissed by the media networks, despite all this social networking power at our disposal in this decade. Whats the point in social networking when all you get is chatter?

couldnt agree more, this is exactly the reason I deleted my facebook account,

I sometimes wonder how something (the internet) can be so full of information and potential and so full of crap at the same time ?

Everything of use (or at least mildly useful) is now on wikis.

All that remains for humanity is a terabyte every day of Bieber fandom. :P
