Quote"I was coming around the track and came into a tight turn and I hit a cone and the cone got caught underneath the tire. So the tire locked up and … slammed into the wall," Griffin told CBS News.

Oh thats how!

Yeah I wondered exactly the same thing, thinking what a dipstick, then I read that.

I bet the owner sat and cried, nevermind starving Africans

Surely the cost of rebuilding a (rear-engined) Enzo doesnt exceed the quoted 1.5$m value? I reckon they could fix that adequately.
Or take the engine out and put in a Corsa.

Yeah, I reckon they could fix that no problem, its amazing how much some of the companies will spend putting supercars right to avoid them being insurance write offs. Im pretty sure I recently read about a $60000 repair to a Murcielago (maybe this months Evo).

I dont think he had a tyre caught at all, it looks like power understeer and he probably had the manetino set to race or CST.

looks to me like he was expecting to much, can get understeer in anything if you cant drive it properly

dunno about rebuilding it, the carbon fibre passenger cell could be damaged and thats a single piece making up a large % of the car
