Title: Best Type of Bike
Post by: DEViANCE on April 13, 2008, 09:52:04 AM
Whats the best type of bike if I wanted to start riding to work, its 10miles all road with quite a few steep hills.

is it even worth it? too far? what would be a decent time for it?

ROLF, why have i put this in photography?!!?! could a mod move it to cycling please.

Youll want at least 10MP and shake reduction IMO

Id say hybrid if its with hills.

Under an hour will be usual once your up to speed, it should take no longer than an hour (10mph is quite slow tbh), and Id leave maybe 2 hours on the first trip so I can properly checkout the route, as you may be able to see a lane or something you can take for shortcuts, or a nicer route to work.

My missus got a £79.99 Hybrid from Halfords.
If you actually want to enjoy riding the thing, dont do the same.

Spend £250 at least.  If you get anything cheaper, it will end up in the shed rusting and forgotten.

Normally, £200 is where you start to see something that actually rides like a bike.
