We had an old manifold for the imp engine for stromberg carbs, but also had a set of 4 CBR600 carbs sitting about.

Decided to use 2 of them, had to modify the manifold (Basically just welded 2 tubes in where the old mount points were)

Bought a dynojet kit, ended up having to drill the main jets out to make them big enough.

Few pics of the carbs on the coventry climax:

Few pics of the complete car - less than 3,000 miles from new in 1971.

were currently building a big bore engine for it that will have EFI.

It will drive the classic car brigade at the shows NUTS

They hate it when you mod a classic.

I thought that was the whole point though, I know someone with a Mk2 Cortina that has a 4.2L Buick in it, and hes said the same thing.  I also worked with a guy who has an Imp with a 1.4 Turbo engine from something in it because the Climax "Wasnt Enough", and one of the other dudes we worked with did his nut.

Its beautiful!

By all means drop a nice big engine in it, but dont change its looks.

DEViANCE

Ive been looking at getting R1 throttlebodys for my metros engine, supposed to give about 30bhp.

Its a religious thing, youre destroying the purity of the original.

You thought religion was only for those who believe in gods?
