Anyone had experience with a Ford Cougar, looking at getting a 2L 16Valve S reg

Went to see it today and the box boxes are getting a bit tired, small amounts of rust. Could be patched however.
There are 2 back boxes costing £75 +vat each from my local motor factors

I took it for a drive and it drove well, it was all a little lumpy as it had been sittng around for a few month (tax ran out in april) but it pulled well, sounded nice and no clunks from the suspension.

Ford Mondeo Transformer tbh, not much poke in them really, i heard the V6 is a lot better, if your spending around a grand i would opt for an MX5 tbh, if i could fit thats what i would buy.

Ahh but it has 2 more seats and the seats can be put down too.

Which means I can get my mates and mine mountain bike in the back and go mountain biking.

MX5 - no space for bikes and bike racks buckle the bootlid from what Ive read on the forums.

Your better off buying a Mondeo diesel mate, more room, better engine

This is a sort of good deal and Id like a coupe tbh for my next car, diesels and all sorts of cars have gone through my thoughts.

Just need to decide. I dont *need* a car but my life would be so much more fulfilling, fun and hassle free if I had one.

The 2.0 is a bit underpowered theyre pretty heavy for what they are, be silly not to get the v6.

The 2.0l petrol was/is an excellent engine, way better than any diesel of the time, the v6 is good but is it worth the extra petrol costs.

mr_roll

The V6 would be just to much in petrol and insurance for me tbh.

I think I will go for it, but knock him down a bit more.

Knocked the guy down £100 then had to put the £100 back on for tax. So £700 + 100 for tax.

Few problems, but Im sure I can work through them. Handling is good and power is nice and good too, tis a nice car.
Trip computer, air con, electric windows & mirrors. Big boot with folding down rear seats. (only 4 seats, but I rarely have 5 in the car)
